On a beautiful October night at our reception center in Middletown, New Jersey, Autumn and Terrell tied the knot. Jacques Reception Center boasts open outdoor space, three beautifully redone rooms accommodating over 400 guests, and an expansive lobby. Having hosted weddings for over 20 years, our team can create once-in-a-lifetime memories for our brides and grooms. Just as Autumn and Terrell had everything from their ceremony to cocktail hour onsite, we can offer you and your loved one the complete package.
The Décor
With all the rooms within our reception center being redone and new, Autumn and Terrell choose to stick to their theming. Only adding pops of color throughout, Autumn and Terrell mostly stuck with the room’s beauty. One tall crystal centerpiece on a mirrored plate in the center of the table highlighted the elegant atmosphere around their guests. Behind the head table sat a large round floral arrangement with white flowers tied into the space’s tile floors. Moving outside for the ceremony, the couple choose to incorporate the same pops of colors, adding a large drape to the top of the wedding arch and having fall leaves lining the aisle. These additions enhanced the space and truly made it their own for their big day.

The Menu
The menu that was crafted for Autumn and Terrell highlights many of the things that Jacques does excellently. Starting with the cocktail hour, the couple opted for passed hors d’oeuvers, action stations, and specialty stations. To begin with the passed items, a few of our favorite highlights include a Roasted Strawberry Crostini with Crispy Prosciutto and Brie Cheese, BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders with Southern Coleslaw, and finally, Coconut Shrimp with Spicy Orange Ginger Sauce. Moving onto the action stations, a trained Jacques chef manned the Italian Pasta Bar featuring built-to-order pasta dishes with numerous add-ins for their guests. Finally, the specialty station they opted for was the Bacon Bar. The Bacon Bar is a newer addition to the menu and includes Smoked Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers, Maple Bacon Strips, Bacon Cheddar Biscuits, and Smoked Brown Sugar Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp.
Sliding over the main reception to our Grand Ballroom, the couple opted for the elegant sit-down menu. When they arrived at their seats, guests were greeted with a Fresh Fruit Cup waiting for them, along with a hot roll and butter. Following this, our own International Salad was then served on glass dishes. Then came the main course with three items for their guests to choose from: Chateaubriand, Champagne Chicken, and Herb Crusted Salmon. Fingerling potatoes and an assortment of mixed vegetables accompanied all these options. The sit-down option for our events is a truly elegant option for the event and kept with the atmosphere that the couple was going after.
Finally, the evening culminated with dessert, where Autumn and Terrell had numerous options for their guests—starting with their wedding cake, beautifully decorated with the same fall-themed flowers from the ceremony assembled by Normandie Bakery. From there, the couple opted for three passed dessert options to their guests: Chocolate Pots de Crème, Homestyle Cookies and Milk, and Cannoli. Like the passed items during the cocktail hour, these are brought to your guests and are individual-sized portions for them to enjoy. Finally, the comprehensive menu was capped off by an after-hours to-go snack of breakfast sandwiches, including Egg and Cheese and Pork Roll, Egg, and Cheese. These are a great addition as your guests start to leave to have something late at night prior to any after-hours festivities.
